District Charity
The Monash Gully District is pleased to announce that the new District Charity has been selected. It is known as INTERCHANGE OUTER EAST, and is situated at 5-7 Yose Street, Ferntree Gully. Their web site is www.ioe.org.au .
In today’s society numerous types’ families are regarded at being “At Risk”. One such identified group is that family with a child or children with disabilities. Interchange Outer East has identified the need to establish workshops that would train and gain the support of siblings to meet the ongoing needs of the family even through to the time that the parents may have passed on.
The District Panel has recommended that the District support this program for the next 3 years, at a cost of $15,000 per year, with the first $15,000 being required by the 30th June, 2009. I believe that this will be an excellent on going charity for the Monash Gully District. The program would be called THE FREEMASONS SIBLING GROUP PROGRAM.
